Women Empowering Women
The Women's Scholarship Foundation Serving Greater Kansas City (formerly the KCK Women’s Chamber Foundation) exists to raise funds for the annual awarding of scholarships
to non-traditional female students.
Our definition of non-traditional is a woman student, 24 years of age or older.

Scholarship Applications
The Women’s Scholarship Foundation Serving Greater KC (WSFKC) is providing an update regarding its scholarship programs.

Due to limited financial support and a shortage of active volunteers, WSFKC will be unable to offer scholarships to non-traditional women students in 2026.
Rooted in an inspiring legacy, the KCK Women’s Chamber began awarding scholarships to women in 1984. In 2014, its 501(c)(3) foundation was established, and worked in tandem with the KCK Women’s Chamber.

In 2020, the KCK Women’s Chamber dissolved and Women’s Scholarship Foundation Serving Greater KC became an independent organization led by a dedicated seven-member volunteer Board. With no paid staff, WSFKC relies entirely on the generosity of volunteers and donors to carry out its mission.
Now, we are at a pivotal moment.

WSFKC will host a strategy session on Wednesday, March 24, 2026, to determine the future of the organization and explore how we can continue supporting non-traditional women students in Greater Kansas City. Community members who believe in educational opportunity, women’s empowerment, and the power of second chances are encouraged to be part of this conversation.

Together, we can honor this legacy and help shape its future.
